WWII GI Toiletry Kit “British Housewife”

A original WWII US soldier’s personal toilety kit - “British Housewife”. The leather case with zipper measures approximately 6” x 7 1/2”. The case is not a military issue, but came with typical items a GI would have. The items include a tin of Barrington Hall coffee and a collapsible metal cup, both of which I believe are British. There is also an unknown oiler - see detailed photo. And a US Pull E-Z trade mark army sewing kit and a razor in a box which were likely PX items. All items have some wear as you can see in the photos.

M16 WWI Camo GBN64

A totally original German M16/M17 WWI camo helmet. The helmet is size/maker stamped GBN64. This helmet is from my personal collection and was purchased from Kelly Hicks years ago. The camo pattern is attractive and the colors (reddish brown, white, dark green, white, olive, brown) are unique. The colored camo panels are separated by black lines, and also run along the bottom rim. The camo colors converge together at the top of the helmet in a unique pattern. The M17 liner band is firmly in place but only one of the leather fingers remains. The leather is barely hanging on and I cannot guarantee is will still be attached after shipping. A C.O.A. from Kelly Hicks will be provided to the buyer. Check out the photos- I have posted 18 pictures to show the helmet in detail.

M16 Austrian CAS66

A nice original WWI M16 Austrian helmet with it’s original brown finish. The shell is size/maker stamped CAS66. The paint is in very good condition for it’s age and the shell is solid with not holes, dents or cracks. The liner is a real Austrian liner from the 1930’s. It had no drawstring so I added an old string to hold the fingers in place. The rivets are the early brass version. They sort of match the shell because the brass color shows through where the paint has worn off - see detail photos. Great looking helmet in nice large size.

M35 Luft NS64 Regt. Goring

A decent example of a very rare combat helmet. The NS64 shell is a 1937 vintage Luftwaffe helmet. It has been over painted both inside and out with a thick coat of feldgrau. A re-issue Luftwaffe eagle was then applied. The Luft decal has lost detail due to not having been lacquered. The chinstrap is by every indication original to the helmet and bears the unit marking “Regt Gen. Goring”. The liner is dated 1937 and is completely intact. The drawstring is non-standard but likely originally installed.

Nice all original M42 single decal Heer complete with a size 57 liner and full-length chin strap. The shell is a size 64, the maker looks like ET. The batch number is 1486. A decent complete example of an unmessed with WWII German army helmet.
